Hydrate and Moisturize! It is important to be hydrated for your treatment as dry hair follicles are difficult to treat. The session will be more comfortable and more effective with hydrated follicles! Please drink plenty of liquids the day before, day of, and day after your appointment and moisturize the day before and the day of your appointment.
Cleanliness is an important part of your treatment, please make sure you are showered and clean before you arrive for body treatments such as bikini and under arms. Clean skin reduces risk of infection and irritation, so makeup, deodorants, lotions and oils should be avoided the day of procedure.
Hair must be visible, the longer the hair, the easier and faster we can work, so choose a day and time in the week that works better to get best results.
Stop drinking coffee, soda, or any sugary drinks/products containing caffeine, this can make you more sensitive.
Avoid sun exposure or tanning beds for at least 48 hours prior to your appointment.
Maybe you want to take some kind of pain reliever 30-45 minutes before your appointment to make your treatment more comfortable.
There are some topical numbing creams available with or without a prescription, they are only effective if you apply it with in 1 hour of you appointment.
For Female Clients. Unfortunately we cannot work on the bikini. during your period due to hygiene.
And please wear clean underwear.
Discuss any questions or concerns with your electrologist.
Protect your self from the sun and use sunscreen. Avoid tanning for 3 days or until there is no visual skin irritation. And always protect your treated skin to avoid any chance of hyper-pigmentation.
Bacteria is everywhere. DO NOT itch touch, rub or scratch the treated area. It can cause your skin to breakout, irritation and infection.
Swelling and redness are ok reactions. This conditions will usually disappear a few hours after but may last longer. You must apply an ice compress to treated area for at least 12 hours after treatment. Apply a thin layer of any over the counter antibiotic ointment to help you heal faster, such as Neosporin, Hydrocortisone, calamine lotion, Bacitracin, Polysporin, or any other antibacterial ointment for the first 2 nights following treatment. If redness persists, Cortaid or Cortisone (1%).
You may experience tiny formations of fluid that appear to look like milia or whiteheads. Do not, pop or scratch the area. You may exfoliate delicately with a soft towel.
No exposure to saunas, hot showers, Gym or anything that makes you perspire until the following day after treatment.
DO NOT PLUCK! In between treatments . We encourage you to do nothing to the hairs. The next best option is cutting bleaching, or clipping the area until your next appointment. Do not wait more than 3 weeks for your next treatment.
